locator v0.3 Mack Pexton June 2, 2008

The locator is a Google Maps application which can be used to lookup the UTM coordinates of any point on a map. A "gunsight" is placed over the map and you move the map beneath it. When you click on the sight or press the space-bar the geocode coordinates are displayed.

You can also enter addresses to lookup their location on the map.

Try it!

A compressed tar file of the locate.php program can be downloaded here: locator-0.3.tgz

Programs using Google Maps need to get a key from Google at http://code.google.com/apis/maps/signup.html. A different key is needed for every web site where the program is installed. Use a text editor to enter the key into the locate.php program. Top
